Away Team 3
Happy Halloween from the bridge of the Enterprise!
Daniel doesn’t look thrilled to be wearing a red shirt… 2 and a half years old and I think he knows what that means already. I tried to tell him that Scotty wore a red shirt, but he wasn’t listening.
When we first put on the uniforms, Christopher tapped his emblem and started going “beep beep!” I tried to explain that was TNG and he was in TOS uniforms, but I don’t think he got it. I was impressed he knew enough Trek to tap the emblem in the first place.
Playing with a robot 1
There are lot of videos in the pipeline. This is a fun one – the second night we were playing with a programmable robot. Once they weren’t afraid of it anymore, they loved to dance with him.
Beach Bums

We spent a long weekend on Long Beach Island, NJ this past weekend.
In this photo, Christopher and Daniel are digging a hole, with my mom acting as construction supervisor.
Not shown is Anthony, dipping his toes in the water with mommy and pap-pap. Nana was taking some photos too, and if I can get my hands on those, I’ll post them.
Professional Photos

I just realized while posting that last entry, I had never put up a link to the professional photos I mentioned a while back. Here ya go:
Apple Store Opening

We took the kids to the grand opening of the new Apple Store in Reston, VA today, fully indoctrinating them into the Apple cult. It was quite an adventure – standing in line for almost an hour with 500+ other people waiting for the store to open so we could get the coveted ‘free t-shirt’.
We had the kids dressed in their “I void warrantees” t-shirts, while Lorna and I also wore geek-appropriate shirts. There were plenty of photos taken… some by the Apple employees themselves… I’m watching Flickr to see if any get posted.
One of the fun things about being a parent of multiples is the instant kinship you find with other multiple parents. Walking back to our car, we met a mother of 1 year old twins who had all kinds of questions for us about sleep habits, eating, etc. It reminded me of the time we met a mother of triplets a year older than ours at a big-box store… We had a ton of questions for her too.
One note of system maintenance – the website might be down for a few hours this next week as I shuffle some technical resources around. I’m reorganizing and have a plan to make this blog a little better.
Professional Photos 1
Lorna and Grammie went to a local studio to have some photos taken. A whole bunch of the photos had that white empty studio look like the Mac commercials, so I couldn’t resist.
Daniel is a linux user, so he doesn’t appear in the pic.
Daniel Update 2
Daniel came home from the hospital last Saturday, after spending almost a week there. His breathing problems turned into a bacterial pneumonia, and they had him there for a few days of antibiotics and checking his breathing at night.
The last few days in the hospital were like a vacation for him… He was away from his brothers, with a huge playroom and fun toys, and most importantly he had his mother all to himself. I have some video I’ll post as soon as I edit it down that shows his progress through the week.
He’s doing fine now – you’d never even know he was sick.
